Drop Off Shredding

Jayhawk File Express’s Drop Off Shredding Service meets the needs of the self-employed as well as serving the occasional shredding needs of any resident of northeast Kansas.

We recommend shredding your unnecessary bank statements, invoices, utility bills and miscellaneous private information. These sensitive documents are often thrown in the garbage or the recycle bin. This is risky, potentially dangerous behavior. Clients collect information in a container either provided by Jayhawk File Express or one of their own choosing.

Our customers may either drop off the collected material at Jayhawk File Express, or schedule pick up.

How much does it cost?

If you can carry your materials for shred into Jayhawk File Express in one trip, it’s free. For drop-offs of larger quantities, we charge $0.10 per pound with a minimum charge of $30.00.

If you would like us to come and pick up your material for shredding we can schedule that for you. The cost is $45.00 for the first fifteen minutes and $15.00 for each subsequent 15 minute segment. The vast majority of residential shredding can be picked up in 15 minutes.

Simply bring your sensitive materials to the Jayhawk File Express facility and bring your documents into the office if they can be carried in one trip. These materials are staged for shredding later in the day. You will be issued a Certificate of Destruction for your records.

Do I have to remove staples and paper clips? Can you destroy computer media?

No problem – our state of the art shredding equipment handles staples and paper clips with ease. Report covers, hard bound books and even X-rays are no problem.
