Jayhawk File Express Certified by NAID
Jayhawk File Express (JFE), a records management company headquartered in Topeka, maintained its document destruction certification with the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) at the highest possible level.
Jayhawk File Express is the only NAID certified shredding provider located in the Topeka/Lawrence area. The AAA certification provides a third party evaluation, ensuring JFE customers that the highest possible secure and confidential destruction practices are followed. To earn AAA certification by NAID, Jayhawk File Express conforms to the strictest security measures, including:
- Employees are background checked and drug screened
- Security sign-in logs and personnel identification requirements
- Closed circuit cameras monitoring the entire facility
- Documented destruction protocols
- Equipment specifications for material size
- Vehicle security procedures and inspections
“Jayhawk File Express has a plant-based shredding service, which we feel is more environmentally friendly than a shred truck visiting a customer’s site,” said JFE president / CEO Cheryl Creviston. “Shred trucks are loud; park where they often block traffic; and have their motors running while they’re shredding, pouring exhaust into the environment. The NAID certification is one way to show our customers our commitment to security, confidentiality and recycling. The same standards of excellence are also applied to our file storage management, document imaging and data protection services.”
NAID is the international, non-profit trade association of the information destruction industry. Its mission is to educate business, industry and government of the importance of destroying discarded information and the value of contract destruction services. Jayhawk File Express has been AAA certified since 2003.
